During our DFC Expo weekend coming in April, we are honored to present our Disneyana Fan Club's Disney Legend Award to Rebecca Cline, Disney historian, author and Director of the Walt Disney Company's Archives and our Disneyana Fan Club's Heritage Award to Jeffrey Barnes, Disney historian, college professor, and motivational speaker.
Recently, Becky was featured on one of our DFC Presents zoom presentations, where she gave us a special tour inside the Disney Archives. Now, at our DFC Disney Legend Award dinner and presentation, you will have the special opportunity to meet her in person and learn more about Becky and how much the mouse has influenced her life.
Jeff was on our DFC Presents with a look back at Walt and his unrelenting drive in completing his dreams despite the setbacks that were endured. Jeff then showed how Walt's attitude can motivate all of us in our lives. Jeff is also credited with creating a college course about Disneyland with a focus on Walt's tenacity and what can be learned from the achievements, failures, creativity and leadership in developing the "Happiest Place on Earth."
With the end of the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio's 100th Anniversary - Disney 100 Years of Wonder celebration, we continue in our mission to recognize the cast members, imagineers, artists and many others who contributed toward keeping Walt's dreams alive.
Kevin and Jody will reflect on a few folks whose imagination and creativity shines in many aspects of the Walt Disney Company.
A voice that may sound familiar will be joining us.
Kaitlyn can be heard on many animated shorts, features, television, movies and around the theme parks.
She is also the current voice of a certain mouse with the polkadot red dress.
As the head of D23 - The Official Disney Fan Club,
Michael will be showing how D23 continues to celebrate Walt's Legacy with fans around the world.

Rebecca Cline
Becky Cline joined The Walt Disney Company in 1989, and became a member of the staff of the Walt Disney Archives in 1993. Today, as Director of the Archives, Becky is charged with collecting and preserving all aspects of Disney history and making the material available to researchers from all areas of the Walt Disney Company as well as to historians, writers, documentarians and fans around the world. Her many responsibilities include maintaining and conserving the Archives’ collections of historical documents, artwork, character merchandise, costumes, props and memorabilia. In the years since the Archives was established at the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California, it has grown from a one-person department to it’s current staff of twenty-three, and has come to be recognized as a model among corporate archives in the country.
In her position with the Archives Becky has also enjoyed participating in the research and development of many new and exciting programs and fan-based initiatives for the Walt Disney Company - most recently as part of the development and operations team for D23: The Official Disney Fan Club.
Born in Glendale, California, and raised in Los Angeles, Becky attended Glendale College and California State University Los Angeles, majoring in Theater Arts. After college, she worked for two years in the Rare Books Department of the Huntington Library in San Marino, California, where she received her first taste of library/archives work.
As an author, Becky has written and contributed to numerous articles on Disney history for magazines such as Disney twenty-three, Disney Magazine, The Disney Channel Magazine, Persistence of Vision, The E-Ticket, and the Disney Insider Yearbook, as well as many Disney internal publications and websites.

Disneyana Fan Club's Heritage Award Honoree
Jeffrey Barnes
Jeff is one of the foremost authorities on Walt Disney and the secrets to his success. As an admirer of Walt Disney’s story since childhood, Jeff spent years studying not only the history of Walt and what happened in his life, but more importantly why things happened. Between obtaining his doctorate and writing two best selling books on the life and lessons learned from Walt’s wisdom, Jeff teaches others how to apply Walt’s lessons for setting and accomplishing amazing goals.
Jeff has been a lifelong fan of Walt Disney, Disney parks, and the stories they tell. In 2014, Jeff created a college course on The Life And Lessons of Walt Disney. At the time it seemed outlandish. A college course on the history of an amusement park? Despite its doubters, the course was a huge hit with students and faculty alike, and it remains one of the most in-demand courses at his university years later.
Jeff then wrote the best-selling book, The Wisdom of Walt: Leadership Lessons From The Happiest Place On Earth and followed it up with a second bestseller, Beyond The Wisdom of Walt: Life Lessons From The Most Magical Place On Earth and he continues to spread the positive message of Walt Disney to audiences. Disneyana Fan Club's Disney Legends
Kevin Kidney and Jody Daily
Kevin Kidney and Jody Daily both grew up in the Southern California area and met while working at Disney as Art Directors. After 20+ years at Disney, they both left and formed an independent design company that still creates “art and special high end merchandise for the Disney organization”, including exquisite Mary Poppins items for Disneyland Paris.
Kevin started as a Jungle Cruise skipper and then joined the Disneyland's Art Department after college. In the Art Department, Kevin helped in the design elements of parade floats for Disneyland's 35th Anniversary, the Party Gras parade, and Fantasmic
Jody was designing and painting concept art for Disneyland. Teaming with Kevin, they both then worked on the Lion King parade, Hercules parade, the Christmas holiday overlay at the Disneyland Hotel and other projects at Disneyland. Kevin and Jody then went to Walt Disney Imagineering's Consumer Products division, working in various styles of design, illustration, and sculpture, created hundreds of collectible items and pins that made its way into many home collections.
For Disneyland's 50th Anniversary, they created a large collection of iconic Disneyland items that reflects the park, including small scale replicas of the monorail, Main Street vehicles, the Mark Twain, Jungle Cruise riverboat, the train engine and cars from Mine Train Through Nature's Wonderland and the original ticket booths that were located throughout the lands at Disneyland. For Disneyland's 55th, they tackled the challenge of creating Captain Hook's ship (also known as the Chicken of the Seas restaurant). Going back to theme park designs, their Disneyland "Pixar Pals" and “Soundsational” parades were loved and enjoyed by many guests, which ended a multiyear run at the park. Together, Kevin and Jody continues to create paper sculptures and artwork found on many types of merchandise. including a series of figurines in vintage Disneyland Cast Members costume, early Disneyland items like popcorn boxes, cups and plates, and patterns found on shopping bags and other items.
